When life changes, the first inventory is usually easy.

You know what disappeared.

The person. The relationship. The income. The business. The opportunity. The health you used to have. The plan you thought would work. The future you expected.

This seven-day inventory is not a formula for getting everything back, a promise that what remains will solve the problem, or a condensed version of the book.

It does something simpler:

Tell the truth about what changed.
Then look again.

It is not about deciding what remains.
It is not about forcing yourself to be grateful.

Today is about naming what changed.

TODAY'S RESPONSE

Take one thing you wrote and bring it to God plainly.

If all you can honestly say is:
“God, this is what hurts.”
Say that.
